                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN THE 10
                   BLOCK OF WEST 27TH STREET, BEING ON THE
                   NORTHEAST AND SOUTHWEST LINES OF WEST 27TH
                   STREET SOUTHEAST OF CARR STREET FROM R-3
                   RESIDENTIAL ZONE TO M-3 WAREHOUSE AND WHOLESALE
                   ZONE.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located in the 10 block of West
                27th Street, being on the northeast and southwest
                lines of West 27th Street southeast of Carr Street.
                Lots 29, 31, 33, 35, and 37-52, Hughe's Subdivision
                of Part of Vaughn's Addition, as shown by plat of
                record in plat book 2, page 36, ROHC, and part of
                lots 73-76, Vaughn's Addition, not recorded; being
                the properties described in deed book 3054, page
                507, ROHC, deed book 3078, page 519, ROHC, deed
                book 3078, page 451, ROHC, deed book 3078, page
                438, ROHC, deed book 3078, page 449, ROHC, deed
                book 3078, page 521, ROHC, and deed book 3078, page
                445, ROHC.  Tax Map No. 155C-F-2 and 11, and
                155C-L-12.
               
               
         from R-3 Residential Zone to M-3 Warehouse and Wholesale Zone.
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, the 
public
         welfare requiring it.
